Landscape Futures

New and innovative planning solutions

It is the ambition that the 12 projects will generate new and innovative planning solutions, which may be used as inspiration for other plan projects, and that the program will raise the overall professionalism in countryside planning.

Each project pursues its own practical goals set by the individual project owner (municipalities and the Hunters’ association). Landscape Futures offers different kinds of support for the projects:

  • Inspiration to process design and development of planning solutions
  • Studies and other research tasks of relevance to the project in question
  • Organizing workshops, excursions, meetings with stakeholders and citizens
  • Organizing seminars and workshops on common themes across the projects

Landscape Futures will document, analyze and present experiences and results from local countryside planning processes in Denmark. This will be done by means of meetings, exhibitions, publications and the webpage.  Finally the experiences from Landscape Futures will be gathered in a book.

Time frame

Landscape Futures started in November 2013 and runs until the end of 2017. In the first part the focus is on supporting the 12 projects. In the last part of the program focus is on dissemination of the results and external communication.
